Q&A
Is it possible to wear a choker with an RXR protector?
Yes, you can.
Place the neckband and protective vest like this:
What's the difference between the Predator and the Bumper?
The Bumper is a shoulder orthosis that stabilizes and supports the joint, while the Predator is a shoulder protector designed to absorb shocks.
Note that it is not possible to wear both at the same time.
To combine orthosis and protection, combine your Bumper with elbow pads.
Is the Bumper restrictive to use?
Of course a little!
And that’s exactly what you want from an orthosis: to prevent risky and/or painful movements.
However, all you need to do is adjust it carefully, and allow yourself some time (2-3 sessions) to get used to it.
Can I wear my chest or back protector under a garment?
Yes, they’re just as effective underneath as on top.
Are RXR Protect products fragile?
No.
They have been developed to withstand the rigors of the targeted sports and tested by our professional athletes.
But that’s no reason to neglect maintenance!
(cleaning, inspecting valves, changing inner tubes if necessary…).
Note two important precautions:
– Do not leave your protection in direct sunlight, or near a strong heat source.
– Make sure that the plugs are screwed onto the inflation nipple (if dust gets inside the inflatable part, it may cause slow leaks at the overpressure valve).
How do I adjust my chest or back protector?
Our products are equipped with adjustable shoulder straps and side straps to adapt to your body shape.
Remember that effective protection must remain close to the body in the event of a fall.
It therefore needs to be adjusted at each session.
How do I wash my chest or back protector?
By hand!
Use a jet of water (possibly a karcher, but be careful of the valves), a sponge, a brush… but never put it through the washing machine.
Do inflatable products come with a pump?
Our inflatable products are delivered inflated, as each vest undergoes an 8-day pressure test in our workshops before being assembled and delivered.
Of course, they come complete with pump, spare screw kit and user’s manual.
Can I use another pump or compressor?
We do not recommend the use of a compressor, as it presents a risk of bursting our ASA inner tube (inflation too rapid for the Easy Pressure overpressure valve).
However, you can use any hand or foot pump compatible with “Schrader” type valves (automotive, motorcycle, ATV…).
How do I inflate my chest or back protector?
All our inner tubes are equipped with our “Easy Pressure” system.
All you have to do is inflate your vest until the excess air escapes through the valve (you’ll hear a little whistle).

Can I change my Easy Pressure overpressure valve?
Not completely: the overpressure valve body is assembled/glued to its black support.
However, you can change the spring, pad and clip (available in our spare parts section).
The air pressure in my chest protector varies.
Does it leak?
Probably not.
Outside temperature and altitude (atmospheric pressure) can increase or reduce the pressure of your chest protector.
So, for example, if I finish my practice with a temperature of 25°, and put my chest protector away in my car, only to take it back the next morning when it’s 10°…
It is slightly deflated.
A little pump and off you go again!
So make sure your chest protector is fully inflated before use.
Note, however, that these variations are minimal.
Are RXR Protect products guaranteed?
Yes, all our products (except decal kits) come with a 2-year guarantee.
Is it possible to buy spare parts at retail?
All parts for our products are available for sale on our website in the spare parts section.
This is the strength of being the manufacturer of our products.
Where can I find the EU type-examination certificate for my product?
