RXR Protect presents its BABT protection solutions for the military field. Our products use the ASA 3.0 technology to absorb the maximum shock wave created during a ballistic impact, also called "Behind Armor Blunt Trauma".
Behind armor blunt trauma (BABT) is an injury that occurs when a bullet or other projectile strikes a piece of body armor and causes a blunt force trauma to the body behind the armor. Body armor is designed to stop bullets from penetrating the body, but it does not prevent the transfer of kinetic energy from the projectile to the body. This energy transfer can cause damage to internal organs, bone, and soft tissue.
When a bullet strikes body armor, the impact causes the armor to deform and absorb the kinetic energy of the projectile. The force of the impact is spread over a wider area of the body, which reduces the likelihood of a fatal injury. However, the force can still be significant enough to cause injury.
BABT can occur in a number of ways. One common mechanism is through the compression of the chest, which can cause damage to the lungs and heart. Another is through the transmission of shock waves through the body, which can cause injury to the brain and other organs.
The severity of BABT depends on a number of factors, including the velocity and mass of the projectile, the type and quality of the body armor, and the distance between the shooter and the target. It is important for individuals who wear body armor to be aware of the risks of BABT and to take steps to minimize their risk of injury, such as wearing properly fitted armor and using additional protective equipment.
Our protections allow the ballistically impacted soldier to not be vulnerable.

Véritable soutien de l’épaule, entièrement ajustable composée d’une partie rigide articulée, d’une attache amovible pour les biceps, et d’une doublure en mousse : confortable, ventilé, le BUMPER suit les mouvements de votre corps.
Vous avez déjà souffert une blessure de l’épaule ? Luxation avant ou arrière, hyper extension, ligaments fatigués, fracture de l’acromion ou de la clavicule… Le BUMPER est l’outil idéal pour soutenir votre épaule, compenser les faiblesses, et vous permettre une rééducation optimale de cette dernière.
Il s’adapte à toutes les morphologies, hommes et femmes, à partir de 1m55 jusqu'à 2m++ en appliquant les réglages indiqués dans la notice et les pastilles de différentes épaisseurs fournies.
Attention : ce réglage initial est très important, à la fois pour assurer un soutien optimal, et surtout un bon confort d’usage. Une fois votre BUMPER bien réglé, vous devez ressentir un soutien ferme, mais pas de gêne. Il faut néanmoins généralement un petit temps d'adaptation avant de s’y habituer. Nous sommes disponibles sans limite pour vous aider à régler correctement votre BUMPER.

||| The different phases of development
In 2016, RXR began this project articulated in 4 Phases subject to validation:
The 1st phase, was to validate the contribution of RXR ASA systems (inflatable part) already used in the extreme sports protective vests designed by RXR and on whether our technology would sufficiently absorb the impact of shots at 430 m/s and 840 m/s.
For the second phase, the specifications evolved: the thickness, pressure and resistance had to be optimized to fit under a bulletproof vest and meet the needs of the fighter (comfort, practicality, strength, reliability...).
For this, we worked on an air cushion covered with a semi-rigid outer shell. After having developed the molds and launched a first series, we needed the validation by fire. Back at LABOCA (LABORATORY OF THE ARMY COMMISSARIAT) for tests.
After more than 200 shots we were ready for the validation thanks to the high speed images. This 3rd phase mobilized 4 people, a rigorous installation of the imagery and an analyst able to dissect the tests and analyze them in comparative method on the existing products referent.

Thanks to the Mission for the development of the participative innovation (MIP) supporting the innovative projects for the French army, the company RXR Protect and the Chief Doctor Nicolas, also researcher in war traumatology in the IRBA (Institute of biomedical research of the armies), were able to start a study on the problem of the Behind Armor Blunt Trauma, problem that has become very important with the use of the flexible and rigid bullet-proof vests.
During the impact of the projectile, the vest deforms towards the back, transmitting an important energy wave. This phenomenon can cause very serious internal trauma (burst organs, hemorrhaging, etc.) and generally leads to loss of consciousness, which significantly reduces the chances of survival in a hostile environment.
In order to minimize this after-effect, a material is placed under the ballistic protection (between it and the wearer's body) to diffuse and absorb all or part of the impact energy.
